More than 280 people are already working on setting up the Palma International Boat Show fairgrounds

The next edition, organised by the Regional Ministry of Enterprise, Employment and Energy, will be held in the Moll Vell from the 25th to 28th of April

The next edition of the Palma International Boat Show will be held from the 25th to 28th of April in Palma’s Moll Vell, a venue that requires the construction of an ephemeral fairground of more than 86,000 square metres. More than 280 people have been working since the beginning of the month to set up the infrastructures needed to house all the companies and boats that will be presented at the boat show. This event is organised by the Department of Enterprise, Employment and Energy, through the Institute for Business Innovation of the Balearic Islands (IDI), and the Balearic Yacht Brokers Association (BYBA).

One of the most complicated tasks of the assembly is the installation of up to 200 metres of floating line for the mooring of yachts or the circulation of visitors. In addition, the floating walkway linking the Espigó de Consigna with the Moll de la Industria Pesquera, which allows a circular visit to the fair, is also being installed these days. The walkway is 72 metres long and 5 metres wide.

On land, the exhibition areas are being adapted and more than 400 marquees are being set up to house the different companies. In addition, many of them are choosing to build designer stands to make their participation in one of the most popular nautical events more attractive.

It should be remembered that, when the Palma International Boat Show, the Contramoll Mollet road has been closed to traffic today until the 30th of April at 6 pm.

Tickets to attend the show, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, can now be purchased on the website www.palmainternationalboatshow.com.
