PIBS 2021 is committed to sustainability and recycling by Adalmo

All waste generated during the nautical show is separated and recycled to protect the environment. The Balearic company Adalmo is responsible for offering this service to the organisation itself as well as to exhibitors and visitors.

Once again this year, the organisers of PIBS 2021 will be focusing on environmental protection and sustainability by setting up a separation and recycling service for all the waste generated during the four days of the Boat Show.

Therefore, once again this year, the Balearic waste management company Adalmo will be responsible for offering this service, which will consist of installing green points for collecting a selection of items for subsequent recycling. After glass, plastics are the second most abundant marine waste fraction in the Balearic Sea, with an average weight of approximately 3 kg/km² hence the eagerness of the organisation of the PIBS 2021 to recycle all the waste generated during the event.

Adalmo, an authorised manager of all types of waste, has been working towards environmental protection and conservation since 1967, and its experience and professionalism have positioned it as a benchmark in terms of integrated waste management and environmental services, thus contributing to the sustainable development of our islands and the circular economy. Adalmo is also responsible for scrapping unusable or disused boats, offering their destruction, prior decontamination and recycling to protect the environment and the health of the sea.

Please remember that this next edition of the Palma International Boat Show will take place between 03 and 06 June 2021 at Moll Vell. In fact, it will be the first trade show of the sector after the pandemic, and will inaugurate the nautical season.
