SOIB actively participates in the Palma International Boat Show 2021
The Balearic Islands Employment Service (SOIB) and the associations AENIB-ANEN and Balearic Marine Cluster work together to promote and improve training and employment in the nautical sector.
For that reason, the SOIB is participating this year for the first time in the Palma International Boat Show 2021, both on-site and virtually, with an agenda that includes an opportunities forum, a stand, a job day to select professionals in the sector, guided tours to nautical companies to promote training among young people and a round table.

Opportunities Forum Centre de la Mar – Menorca
Objective: to put Centre de la Mar students in contact with Menorca’s nautical companies.
Date: 27 May 2021, between 9 a.m and 2 p.m.
Place: Centre de la Mar. c/ de Ruiz y Pablo, 13. Maó

Objective: to publicise the Centre de la Mar in Menorca, the SOIB Business Service, the Hotel and Tourism Sector Office and all the services offered by the SOIB.

Marine industry job day
Objective: to look for the best professional profiles to respond to the job offers in the sector.
Date: 3 and 4 June between 4 and 8 p.m.
Place: Astilleros Mallorca. Contramoll-Mollet, 11. Palma

Guided tours «Get a close view of the nautical world»
Objective: to raise awareness of the nautical world and the training opportunities it offers to people interested in working in this sector.
Date:3 and 4 June between 10 a.m and 1 p.m.
Place: Servicios Técnicos Portuarios (STP). Moll Vell, s/n. Port of Palma
Virtual round table: “The nautical sector in the Balearic Islands: a sea of opportunities for training and employment”.
Objective: to publicise the services and programmes offered by the SOIB to companies and people who want to work and train in the nautical sector. In collaboration with the Balearic Marine Cluster and the Chamber of Commerce of Majorca.
Date: 5 June 2021 at 10 a.m.
