The SOIB participates in the Palma International Boat Show 2023 with an extensive programme of activities aimed at training and professional intermediation.

The Balearic Islands Employment Service, through the Nautical Division of the Hotel and Tourism Sector Office, and the Integrated Vocational Training Centres, CIPF Centro del Mar and CIPF L’Embat, is working together with the Balearic Marine Cluster and Anen-Aenib associations to promote and improve training and employment in the nautical sector.

The SOIB participates once again in the Palma International Boat Show with an extensive programme of activities including the round table “The new challenges of nautical vocational training in the Balearic Islands”, the presentation by the Balearic Marine Cluster of the opportunities in the world of sailing in the network of POAP guidance staff, and informative talks and guided tours to the Port Technical Services (STP) and Shipyards of Mallorca, aimed at the general public, to promote training and employment in the sector.

In addition, the SOIB has an information stand specially dedicated to training, employment and labour intermediation in the marine industry.

Given the growing momentum of the blue economy, which recognises the importance of the seas and oceans as drivers of the economy due to their great potential for innovation and growth, the SOIB provides specialised sectoral training for both employed and unemployed people:

 Training actions to obtain certificates of professionalism in different nautical specialities (Maritime-fishing [MAP] [MAP] and Transport and maintenance of vehicles (TMV) [TMV])

 SOIB DUAL Programme Strategic Sectors

 SOIB Recruitment Commitment Programme

Those interested in this training can consult the course search engine on the website www.soib.es and in the highlights of the website, where the Dual and Recruitment Commitment training actions are published, an attractive formula that allows you to work and train at the same time. You can also consult the courses of the CIPF, Centro del Mar en Menorca (www.centredelamar.com) and L’Embat (www.cifplembat.com).
