La 35 edición del Palma International Boat Show incrementará en un 15% la superficie de exposición para poder dar cabida a la gran demanda de empresas que quieren participar en el evento náutico que tiene lugar de forma anual en el Moll Vell de Palma. Tras las peticiones del sector, la organización ha decidido ampliar el evento por la zona del Muelle de la Industria Pesquera. El resultado es un recinto ferial de más de 80.000 metros cuadrados. El Palma International Boat Show tendrá lugar del 27 de abril al 1 de mayo en el Moll Vell de Palma, y está organizado por el Instituto de Innovación Empresarial (IDI) con la colaboración de la Balearic Yacht Brokers Association (BYBA), responsable del Palma Superyacht Show, el área destinada a superyates.

El nuevo diseño del recinto ferial supondrá una remodelación de las zonas de exposición con el objetivo de optimizar todavía más el escenario del Moll Vell. De hecho, una de las novedades que seguro marcarán esta edición será la construcción de un puente flotante que unirá el Espigón de Consigna con el Muelle de la Industria Pesquera. Esta infraestructura temporal permitirá un recorrido circular que evitará zonas frías en el recinto ferial. El puente tendrá una longitud de 72 m y una anchura de 5 m,  y permitirá la entrada y salida de las embarcaciones de la feria.

Uno de los objetivos más importantes del incremento de superficie, además de dar respuesta a la demanda del sector y a las numerosas empresas que querían participar y no podían por falta de espacio, es asegurar la pervivencia del salón e incrementar la calidad de la cita, una de las más importantes del Mediterráneo.
